Since we’re not superstitious, Capital Z and McG decide to go ahead and number this episode as thirteen. Hopefully you are not triskadekaphobic, and decide to skip this episode, because it’s an instant classic. After untangling the various National League tie-breaker scenarios, we turn to some moments that may have caused some embarrassment for television personalities. Embarrassing yourself on television is not hard to do, but it can be painful to watch.
Episode 13: How To Embarrass Yourself On TV
September 28th, 2007 § 0
Episode 12: Don’t Tase Me, Bro
September 25th, 2007 § 0
The phrase that pays this week is the title of the twelfth chapter of the old Stereo Radiation podcast. And actually, Capital Z and McG put forth the most serious episode to date. We get into politicians’ true motives and music industry economics, as well as things that smell bad. We do everything we can to strike back at the man, and yet there are still problems in the world. Don’t tase us.
Episode 11: The Roof Is Not On Fire
September 18th, 2007 § 0
When it comes to sports memorabilia today, acquiring it and collecting it is no longer adequate. The next frontier is buying it and defacing it. The next frontier in crime fighting is not non-lethal weapons, such as the one that makes you feel like you are on fire. No, the law is turning to a more sinister method that falls into one of those gray areas of the Geneva Convention. I’m talking about, of course, Barry Manilow. So throw your hands in the air, and wave them like you do care.
Episode 10: It’s Chris Crocker
September 14th, 2007 § 0
Stereo Radiation breaks into the double digits with a very special episode about a very disturbed boy. In now-classic Web 2.0 fashion, 15-minute celebrities are referred to as “the (blank) guy.” Now there’s the “Leave Britney Alone guy” but we have some other words to fill in that blank. We get rolling with the usual stuff: classic rock, hurricanes, baseball and NASCAR.
Episode 9: PWL
September 11th, 2007 § 1
Disease epidemics come from the kookiest places these days LOL!!!1 In this episode we break down the MTV Awards, blow the lid off of Indian casinos, ravage bottled drinking water, and expose the truth behind microwave popcorn. In actuality, we do none of those things because this isn’t 60 Minutes, this is a podcast. But if you’d like a ticking sound added to the beginning of the show, that wouldn’t be very hard to do.
Episode 8: Throw Momma Under A Bus
September 7th, 2007 § 1
The football season kicks off this weekend. Capital Z and McG dare to go on record with all of their predictions for the year. A trip to Wrigley Field highlights Capital Z’s week, even if it was ruined by an unsportsmanlike Cardinals fan. A ridiculous movie idea has been floated, Jerry Lewis says half of an offensive word and Osama pops up again. If it’s Friday, it’s time for the silliness known as Stereo Radiation. That and a little thing called a “weekend.” Look into them if you have yet to do so.
Episode 7: Season Finale
September 4th, 2007 § 0
Season 1 concludes with a twisting, turning story that until the very end will leave everybody guessing: “What the hell am I listening to?” Dead princesses, creepy senators, astronomical lottery jackpots and chupacabras top the news this week. As contract negotiations continue, it remains to be seen who will play Capital Z and McG when Season 2 gets going on Friday. Variety and People Magazine is a good place for the latest gossip.
